It's Not Just Me
Today Joshua had his 9 month doctor's appointment. When we get there the nurse does the normal stuff, checks the circumference of his head, his length and then asks for his diaper to be removed to get his weight. Right when she leans over him to move the scale, he pees all over her. Yes, I was em brassed, but I was assured that things like that happen. So then the doctor comes in. He needs to check inside his diaper so he opens it. Right then he pees all over his shirt, stethoscope, arms, everything. And I was embarrassed again. It's one thing to have Joshua pee on me, but another to have him pee on everyone. Then doctor proceeds to tell me that he was getting cocky because it had been four months or so since he got peed on last. So it's not just me that got cocky. Thank you Joshua for bringing us back down. The remainder of the appointment was uneventful, however, it was reassuring. Joshua's separation anxiety, stranger anxiety and when he cries when other babies cry are signs that he is not autistic, so says the doctor. At least there is one good thing about those anxieties.
