Weening

It is official, Joshua is weened (as of last week sometime). I thought I would be sad about the process, you know, miss the closeness that we had. Turns out everything is great. See, at first Joshua did not like cows milk, he actually got really mad when I tried to give it to him. It wasn't until my mom suggested that I water down the milk some because whole milk is thicker than breast milk that he actually started to drink it. Now he loves his milk. It is our little routine to snuggle in his chair and have him drink his milk. He still plays with my shirt like he did when he was breastfeeding. He loves to snuggle before his naps and before bed. There is no way for me to miss the closeness of breastfeeding, when he is so sweet. It is hard to believe that he doesn't need me anymore for food, but hey, he is almost one! What a big boy.
