Joshua talks a lot. Usually, I'm not sure what he is talking about, but he sure is talking. Last week we were outside with Butch and Joshua said "Good Doggie" or something very close to this. I laugh and say "Yes, Butch is a good dog". Then we proceed to walk and Butch goes to the bathroom and I say "Good Dog" without paying much attention and then Joshua laughs and says "Good Doggie". Wow, I definitely have to watch what I say around him.
Side note: Now Joshua sees anything with fur and says "Good Doggie", even his stuffed animals. I correct him and say no that is a cat, bear, monkey, etc. He just smiles and says again "Good Doggie". We'll work on that.
